1. ITEMS TO NOTE BEFORE INSTALLING THIS PRODUCT
------------------------------------------------------------
* It is highly recommended that you install this product
into its own folder and not over an earlier release of
Visual dBASE. Installing into the same location as an
existing copy of Visual dBASE 5.5 or 5.6 may cause
problems with samples and code developed for the earlier
versions.
* You must have approximately 30MB free on your TEMP drive
(the drive that contains your Windows TEMP directory) for
the self-extracted installation files. These files are
automatically removed when setup completes normally. If
you are installing to the same drive as the TEMP drive,
this space is in addition to the space required for the
actual program installation. Without the required space,
you may get errors such as "Unable to execute SETUP" or
"Unable to find installation languages".
* If you encounter errors during setup, make sure that your
Windows TEMP directory (usually C:\WINDOWS\TEMP) is
completely empty before running SETUP again.
* If Borland IntraBuilder is installed on your system, be
advised that Visual dBASE 7 registers the *.CC (custom
control) file association, overriding the IntraBuilder
association. If you need to, you can change the
association back to IntraBuilder through the Windows
Explorer or Registry Editor.
* For descriptions of new features, as well as usage notes
for the product, see README.TXT and VDB.HLP.
------------------------------------------------------------
2. UNINSTALLING THE PROGRAM
------------------------------------------------------------
* Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0: Use the Add/Remove Programs
applet in the Control Panel.
* Be sure to close the Control Panel before starting the
uninstall process. Otherwise, the BDE Administrator,
which is in the Control Panel, will not be removed,
preventing the uninstall from removing all components.
